Animal Safety Cattle Handling Safety:
Working with cattle can be done safely if you know what you’re
doing. It’s important to learn the correct ways of working around
livestock. This video, which features Dr. David Schafer, director
of The University of Arizona’s V Bar V Ranch, looks at the facilities
for housing cattle and demonstrates how to work safely around these
sometimes temperamental animals. You will learn how to avoid life-threatening
situations when handling cattle in a corral or pasture setting.

ATV - Safety on the Farm:
ATVs have become the workhorse of the modern farming operation.
However, they need to be driven carefully and with the proper personal
protective equipment. This video offers a concise overview of ATV
safety basics for both farm operators and employees. Back Injury Prevention Back Injury Prevention:
One of the most costly injuries in the agricultural industry is
back injury. This program explains safe lifting techniques, 10:1

- Siguiendo el Sol... Chasing The Sun - Siguiendo
el Sol...: Siguiendo el Sol is designed to
be used in conjunction with the EPA worker protection pesticide
training poster and brochures. It makes an excellent accompaniment
to any worker protection training program. The video can be used
with Spanish monolingual as well as bilingual farmworkers. Produced

and basic safety when using hazardous materials. Pesticide Training for Agricultural
Employees: An EPA approved, FELS-produced video for
training agricultural workers and pesticide handlers. Covers both

The Playing Field:
The National Migrant Resource Program and the Migrant Clinicians
Network produced this video as an educational tool created for use
with children ages 9 through 12 years, The Playing Field portrays
one boy’s experience. Follow his journey as he unravels the mystery
of his sister’s sudden illness and gains a greater understanding
of the potential danger of pesticides present to children who see
the fields as their playground. Audiences of all ages will identify
with the characters either as a child or as parents and adults interested
in protecting children. (17:00 Min.) Pesticide Safety - Help
Workers Protect Themselves:This video is recommended
for agricultural workers who perform any task other than direct
pestidie handling in the field after safe re-entry period but within
30 days of the last pesticide application. This video is not recommended
for the training of workers in nurseries or greenhouses. Produced

Protection: This video has been approved by
US EPA. This video is divided into two sections: the first is for

an emergency could result in the transmission of a BBP. This program

This video provides a basic introduction to Africanized Honeybees.

individuals taking personal responsibility for reducing unsafe acts
and by companies enforcing safety rules, the vast majority of accidents
and injuries can be prevented in any operation. The majority of
workplace accidents are caused by unsafe acts of employees. The

Violence and Sexual Harassment
in the Workplace: This two-part video first explains
management's duties regarding violence and sexual harassment in
the workplace, then explains to employees how to identify potential
violent situations and minimize problems as well as sexual harassment

- Good Hygiene Practices and Heat Stress Prevention Field Sanitation - Good Hygiene

Gonna Happen to Me": This video stresses safety
practices and emphasizes the importance of knowing your tractor.

Employees: Tractors represent the largest percentage
of machinery-related accidents. This 14-minute video provides training
on the hazards associated with operation, including moving parts
and PTOs, rollovers and the release of stored energy. It also presents
the uniform hand signals that were developed by the American Society
of Agriculture Engineers. The videos are bilingual; the English
segment is followed by the Spanish translation (of equal length)

Driving on rural roads requires a different kind of skill and awareness
than driving on city roads or freeways. This video teaches drivers

levees, and the requirements for driving farm labor vehicles. This

videos explains the D.O.T. alcohol and drug rules and coaches you
